One of the things we most frequently get asked about our products is what they are made of, whether they comply with Australian standards and what the standard sizes are. Producing high-quality, durable, cost-effective speed humps is something we live and breathe so we thought we would compile a quick guide on standard speed bump dimensions what to expect from our rubber speed humps.

What Are The Standard Speed Bump Dimensions?

At Speed Humps Australia we produce a 2.7m and a 3.2m speed bump as standard sizes. However, our speed humps can be adjusted to almost any length as we also supply 0.5m black and yellow extension sections. In terms of height, our speed humps are 50mm high and cause no damage to vehicles driving over them.

What Are Your Speed Bumps Made From?

We are very proud to be able to say that our speed bump specifications do not fade or deteriorate and are made from high-quality, recycled rubber for minimal environmental impact that fully comply with Australian standards. Unlike some other manufacturers, our yellow colour is moulded-in, not painted-on, eliminating colour fade over time.

Are Your Speed Humps Easily To Install?

You might be surprised to learn that speed humps can actually be installed really quickly and easily. In fact, it can usually be done in about 30 minutes. By using a combination of fasteners and adhesive the speed hump is guaranteed not to move and allows traffic to flow immediately installation is complete. Watch our speed hump installation video to find out just how easy it is to do yourself.

Where Can You Install Speed Bumps?

Our speed humps have been used to great effect at numerous locations throughout Australia including factories, shopping centres, car parks, hospitals, industrial estates, schools, universities, government buildings, retirement villages, service stations, laneways, secured estates, caravan parks, resorts, drive-in fast food outlets, clubs, multi-storey car parking stations, child care centres, sporting venues, parks and airports.
